Random Summer activities

I took this picture as it was a memory I had growing up. Not really sure why my grandmother had this jar filled with water and marbles, but it was always fun to look down in. Ivy and I spent time helping watch my grandmother. She has alzheimers and is at the point of not remembering us. She has her better days and sometimes her not so good days. She was such a blessing in my life. I'm glad Ivy has got to spend some time with her. Although, Ivy seeing my grandmother in this state has not been so good on her. One afternoon after leaving Granny's Ivy began crying. She told me she did not want to grow old like Granny. I told her everyone grows old and we have to take care of them. I asked her if she was going to take care of me or put me in a nursing home. She said the nursing home.... I guess I better start planning for child number 2. lol!

Dinner on the front porch. Ivy fixed the tables and chairs so we could have dinner on the front porch.
A few afternoons this summer we could be found at Point A trying to beat the heat.

After 2 years, Ivy finally is driving her Barbie Jeep. After many rides with her buddies driving her around, she finally figured it out.
Little princesses!!!

Madison swimming without floaties.
Lacey
Ivy taking a pic of herself.

Tambry and I took Ivy and Carter to the beach for an afternoon.

What a sweet post! I know watching your grandmother that way is hard, but she is so lucky to have you. I hope Ivy has many fond memories of her always!
