Simple evening for Valentine's Day

Well, this time for the first time decided not to swap gifts. We did get Ivy Daisy Duck which now completes her Mickey Mouse collection. My Aunt Pat (who is a teacher) offered to watch Ivy. My cousin's little girl, Olivia, was there as well. We dropped Ivy off in Baker and then traveled down to Fort Walton. We stopped by Circuit City in hopes of finding a cheaper Nikon D90, but sadly all DSLR cameras were gone. I did leave with an XM radio so now I can listen to Grateful Dead and Talk radio anytime of the day... yay! We then went to the mall. It was time for me to make a trip to Victoria's Secret, which was much needed. After having Ivy, I've been trying to do the cheap route and buy inexpensive bras. Well, if you're a mom and understand how much the body changes after having a child, you'll definitely understand what having a good bra means... yes, they are back in place where they are supposed to be.. he he.. :) I've been so happy today wearing my new bra. I feel like a new woman. Then across crab flats to Destin. I went to Children's Place and Polo and found some great deals for Ivy spring and summer clothes. I got a few things as well. My hubby is not into clothes at all, but loves a great cigar. We stopped at the Cigar store and Scott filled up his humidor. I was laughing, he needed an extra hand. He was like a kid in the candy store.. To end the night we were planning on going to Bonefish Grill.... 2 1/2 hour wait. I was hungry at this point! So we ate at Lucky Snapper which is a place we like anyways. We picked up Ivy and Aunt Pat had Olivia and Ivy make us Valentines. They are precious. While Ivy was there she learned a new internet site (bellasara). It's a horse site kind of like webkins. Now Ivy has created Princess Amber and we have to take care of her along with her webkin, Horsey. Yes, Horsey is what she named her horse... It was a good night out for us. I wish the weather was nicer. We enjoyed spending an evening together w/out interruptions.. Being at the beach just makes me sooo ready for the summer. I plan to go atleast every 2 weeks so if there is any moms who want to ride down for the day, i'm all about beach trips. I hope you all had a nice Valentines as well.

I'm trying to be like everyone else!

Alright, I've not posted in a while, so i figured why not do this thing that everyone else has done. I swore i would not do this silly thing, but nothing exciting has been going on.....SO, This one's for the best man in the world! I love you Scott Rogers

1.What is his name? Scott

2. Who eats more? I'm not too sure on this one, we both do our fair share of devouring our meals and many in between snacks.

3. Who said, "I love you" first? I actually did. I could not help it.... I love this man!

4. Who is taller? Scott is until I wear heels, then we're eye to eye! Like it that way, I hate getting a crick in my neck trying to reach for sugar.

5. Who is more sensitive? Hmmmmm, this one's a toughy! I probably have more guts than Scott and say things I should not... I'm very opened minded and opinionated which can offend people sometimes. I would probably shed the first tear though..

6. Who does the laundry? I do the laundry... I don't like other people to touch my clothes. They all have some kind of special instructions... Scott does fold and put away though. Thanks......... I hate that part... if you don't believe me ask anyone who comes through my hallway. I have a maze just to get through.

7. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Scott does.

8. Who pays the bills? Well.......... We both pay towards them if that is what this question is asking. We split all bills/ savings/ and groc 60/40... that's the Suze Orman plan. Works great for us. I do actually write the checks or pay online bills. I'm in control of all the outgoing money if that is what the question is asking.

9. Who cooks more? We both share this. Which one cooks, the other one cleans and the other one then bathes Ivy. Well, actually Scott bathes Ivy 85 % of the time. I hate that job. The first bath i gave ivy was like 4 months... I thought i'd drop her.

11. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Definitely Scott.. Bless his heart he's too sweet.
Not sure where 12 went??

13. Who wears the pants in the relationship? We usually discuss all things and compromise. If it's a big decision Scott definitely makes those. I'm all about the man being the head of a house. I don't truly want a man that cant stand up to his wife and say "look here woman, Im the man and this is how it's gonna be"... just kidding, maybe not that harsh, but i like a man to be a man, not a panzy!!!!

14. What do you like to do together? We used to go to a lot of music shows before Ivy came along and we still do somewhat. We love going to nice resturaunts and eating good food, watching Auburn football, hanging out with our friends, and especially love playing with Ivy.

15. Who eats more sweets?I do that is for sure. isn't it obvious?
16 disappeared as well!!

17. How did you meet? I met him the first time because he dated a girl who I graduated with, but I really met him one weekend at the beach. He was with the guys and apparently he has always had this crush on me and the guys knew it.... so they just kind of fixed it that everywhere we went, we were sitting by eachother... Thanks, Phillip and Zane!

18. Who asked whom out first? Well, I gave him my number, but i'm not sure. i think we just were around eachother soo much that it just came about.

19. Who kissed who first? I kissed him.... I was just too attracted to him... what's a girl gotta say?

20. Who proposed? He did at the river where he grew up.

21. His best features and qualities? He's the sweetest husband in the world. I may complain a lot, but this man and I have had one argument in our almost 4 years of marriage. We may have our little funks sometimes, but never has this guy said one cross word to me. nor, would he ever. He's also the best daddy in the world. He takes up sooo much time with Ivy. It's a great help to me, but I never have to worry about him not being in her life. He will be a very involved daddy as she grows up. as i'm sitting here, he's outside with her right now playing. I could not ask for a better man! He's also a traditionalist. Way more than myself. which is good, cause i need someone to push me along to carry on traditions. Finally, he's the best damn guitarist i know!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and yes, I know i need to get some recent pics of Scott and myself. We've had none done professionally... well, there are some, but i'm like 50 lbs heavier and i ain't posting those... i know you gramatically correct people are loving my grammar on this note! :) so, i will look into having some family portraits done. maybe with it getting warmer i'll get that done.
