busy busy busy............ equals a transformed kitchen!!!!!

Over the last week i've been transforming my kitchen because I absolutely could not afford an overhaul... With out the help of Lynn, Lisa and Scott I would definitely still be working. Much thanks to each of you!!! Because I saved so much money, Scott did allow me to get a new faucet. I am still in need of a kitchen table and chandeleir for the breakfast nook, which will come in next month's paycheck, and blinds for two of the windows which walmart nor marvins carried the size i needed. I have repainted every bit of this house except for the kitchen. 3 years later, I finally took on the job..I did get new flooring... thank goodness!! I had the skankiest (if that's even a word) floors known to man. I actually was embarrassed for people to come into my kitchen! Some exciting parts were one I saved about 900 getting tile look a like vinyl, I saved 250 on spray painting my pulls with a hammered look spray, 1000.00 painting it myself, and 1500 keeping the same counter tops I already had. Oh, if you're wondering why I took a pic of the 3 picture frames... well, those were another save. I went to burkes outlet and found those for 12.00 originally 25.00 at target. I plan to put them in the nook with 3 black and whites of ivy from my grayton post. Here are some pics I scanned in when we bought the house.

Having a good time..........

Saturday Scott and I went to Wages for some peas and butterbeans. Unfortunately, I never gave much attention to my grandmother putting up veggies. I loved shelling the peas, but after that I was done. Thank goodness Scott did not mind doing this job.

We then headed to the splash pad. There was a hotdog stand with a large rotating hotdog. Ivy was fascinated with the thing. Here's her watching it.

So when we got back, I got Ivy dressed up and we drove over to Grayton to attempt to take pictures. Well, as you can see we only got two. Ivy proceeded to have one of those "Rogers'" fits as I would say, and ofcourse Scott would object and call it a "Koutsodontis' " fit.... either way, she layed down in the sand and pitched a good one. So we had to call it quits and headed back to the hotel for more "pool time". The trip was fun and I can't wait to go back next weekend. As far as sorry for posting a beach pic............I'm not! We love this place and if that's all we do this summer, so be it. We're having a Good Time doing it!

July 4th Weekend and B'ham Trip to visit the Watts

On July 2nd, we went to Mr. Jim Ed's pool with Lacey and Madison. I only have one picture of this day. The girls swam without their floaties and were jumping off the diving board. Maybe I'll post the video later.

July 3rd we went kayaking from Hart's Bridge. Along the trip were Chad Brooks, Phillip McClung and Travis Bishop. It was a GREAT time. Ivy did really well. We're on the hunt for some kayaks so this can become a regular activity.

On July 4th Scott was playing a gig at Gantt, so I decided we'd hang out with my family. We drove down to Milton to my cousin's who has a pool. We ate great food and did our own fireworks show. Ivy had a blast.

Monday, Ivy and I traveled to Birmingham to visit my good friend, Christi, and her daughter Miss Audrey. We went to the zoo and just hung out. It was nice to get away and visit an old friend. Maybe the next time wont be soooo long.
